Highlighting Resources for Small Business Week and Economic Development Week

This week wraps up both National Small Business Week and Economic Development Week — and we’re proud to celebrate the local businesses and entrepreneurs who fuel Aubrey’s economic engine.

Small businesses are the heart of our community. They create jobs, spark innovation, and give Aubrey its unique character. The Aubrey Municipal Development District is honored to support the visionaries, risk‑takers, and job‑creators who choose to grow here.

This was also a great week to take a moment and look back at the inaugural class of the Aubrey Local Business Accelerator facilitated by Economic Growth Strategies. This first cohort set the tone for what’s possible when dedication, creativity, and community support come together. Their hard work and progress continue to inspire the next generation of Aubrey entrepreneurs.

To every small business owner, startup founder, and local dream‑builder — thank you. Your commitment strengthens our economy, enriches our neighborhoods, and shapes Aubrey’s future.

Here’s to continued growth, innovation, and the thriving local businesses that make Aubrey exceptional. As the area continues to grow, local entrepreneurs can connect with the Aubrey MDD and the Aubrey 380 Area Chamber of Commerce to learn about small business programs, including: business networking opportunities; building improvement and sign grant programs for small businesses; and the next Aubrey Accelerator program planned for 2026-27 year.

As always, remember the best way to support small businesses is to recognize them not only one week a year, but year-round by shopping directly with them for goods and services. #ShopLocal #SupportSmallBusiness
